We’re a small, independent Canadian publisher based in Whistler, making screen-free experiences for curious minds and adventurous families.

Meet the creator

Hi, I’m Heidi! I came to Whistler from Australia for one winter. Now a husband, four kids and many mountain adventures later, I’m still here!

As a homeschooling mum of four, Mountain Match began as a family project, a fun way for our kids to discover more about Whistler and share a little piece of our life here with friends and family abroad.

That idea grew into North & Story, creating screen-free games, books and activities that invite kids and families to experience the world with curiosity: to PLAY, CREATE, LEARN & EXPLORE.

When will Mountain Match be available?

Mountain Match is available online from early December, and pre-orders are sent out first. Pre-order now to reserve yours. You can also be the first to buy it in person at the Arts Whistler Holiday Market on November 28 and 29, at the Whistler Conference Centre.

Who is it for?

Ages 4 to 104, for 2 to 8 players, and a game takes about 15 minutes. Kids and grown-ups play it together.

What’s in the box?

57 playing cards, Discover Whistler cards that name every icon, rules for 7 different ways to play, and a cotton drawstring travel bag, all inside a keepsake Whistler drawer box with a grosgrain ribbon pull.

Do you ship?

Yes, anywhere in Canada, with the shipping cost shown at checkout. Local pick-up in Brio will be available only for Whistler locals on select days and times starting in early December.
